You Can Know God
God wants a personal relationship with you. Will you accept this precious gift He offers to you?
Recognize that you’re a sinner.
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: (Romans 3:10)
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (Romans 5:12)
Realize that sin separates you from God.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
Reflect that God loves you so much that He provided a means to save you through Jesus Christ.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. (Genesis 22:8)
Receive Christ’s sacrifice for your sin.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; (Romans 4:24)
Repent of your sinful lifestyle.
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? (Romans 2:4)
And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand; Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: (Matthew 3:2, 8)
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (Matthew 4:17)
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (Luke 13:3, 5)
A person not willing to repent is not ready to receive.
Resolve to honor and glorify God in all things!
We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:1-6)
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. (Romans 8:13)
